Kathy has been working as a veterinary technician for 20 years.  She studied animal science at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, Virginia.  Kathy has worked in specialty practice for the past 15 years, 5 years in a veterinary dermatology practice and 10 years as head nurse in a busy Intensive Care Unit for animals.

After obtaining her certification in canine massage in 2004 through the canine division of Equissage, she attended courses at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida, earning her certification in 2006.  Kathy has been working with rehabilitation patients since June of 2005, focusing on post operative therapy and exercises for orthopedic and neurologic patients.  Kathy also serves as a teaching assistant for the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and is a member of the board of editors for the veterinary publication Firstline Magazine.
