Rehabilitation Therapists

Physical rehabilitation therapy is a fundamental aspect of VOSM. Our certified therapists utilize innovative technology and techniques to ensure your pet returns to maximum function following surgery and, in some cases, in place of surgery. Rehabilitation therapists also provide maintenance care and conditioning for working canines, performance dogs, senior pets, and non-surgical patients.

Surgery Technicians

Our highly trained team of surgical technicians ensures the utmost quality of care for your pet during surgery. They manage the operating schedule, administer anesthesia, monitor important vital signs during surgical procedures, and process surgical equipment.

Recovery Technicians

Following surgery, our team of skilled recovery technicians closely monitors your pet 24 hours a day. They monitor vitals and support a safe recuperation from anesthesia. Most importantly, our recovery team makes sure your pet is as comfortable as possible following an orthopedic surgery.

Rehabilitation Assistants

This team of specialized assistants provides important support to our therapists. They facilitate communication with clients, obtain radiographs, and offer a comfortable environment for your pet during treatment. In addition, two of our assistants operate the underwater treadmill.

Receptionists

This group of dedicated animal lovers are the first friendly faces seen when arriving to VOSM. They provide excellent customer service in addition to maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, managing finances, and directing telephone calls.

Discharge Technicians

Following surgery, these technicians explain post-operative information prior to your pet going home. They review in-operative findings, medications, restrictions, bandage instructions, recheck appointments, and answer any questions you may have.

Appointment Technicians

Appointment technicians assist the surgeons during examinations on receiving days. This versatile team gathers patient histories, fills prescriptions, obtains radiographs, restrains patients during exams, and reviews surgical recommendations.

Auxillary Technicians

This support team is vital to the care of our patients and daily functions of our practice. They assist technicians in surgery and recovery, in addition to taking care of our boarding patients. The maintenance of our beautiful facility is also attributed to this multipurpose group.

Administration

Our talented management team oversees the daily operations of our multifaceted practice. These individuals ensure the highest quality of care is maintained throughout VOSM. They organize continuing education seminars and outreach programs, supervise personnel, assess finances, function as a liaison between referring veterinarians and VOSM, and promote a positive working environment.
