Veterinary Technicians
Recovery
Recovery positions are responsibile for monitoring post-operative patients, placing catheters and administering medications as well as general hospital duties - previous ICU or recovery ward experience is required. Overnight and weekend positions are available in the recovery ward.
Surgery
Surgery positions are responsible for conducting pre-operative patient assessments, administering anesthetics and assisting with intubation, maintaining appropriate levels of anesthesia during surgery, following up on patients after they have been anesthetized, calculating and administering various CRI's, providing basic maintenance of anesthesia machines, assistance in surgical pack preparation and patient prep, assisting as scrub nurse during orthopedic and neurologic procedures.
Qualifications required for surgical positions:
• Must be eligible for or a current State of Maryland RVT, a graduate from an AVMA accredited two or four year veterinary technology school OR currently enrolled in an equivalent program.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Advanced animal handling experience
• Experienced in surgical nursing and anesthesia
• Able to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously
• Ability to remain composed and focused in stressful and emergency situations
• Flexible about working additional hours when necessary
• Demonstrates advanced anesthesia skills
• Demonstrates the ability to lead and act autonomously during an anesthetic crisis
• Capable of assisting in crash medicine resuscitation
• Interest in pain management and experience with veterinary orthopedic and/or neurologic procedures strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Full Time Client Communication Representative/Receptionist
Position Summary:
To provide outstanding customer service to our clients in a fast paced environment and ensure the highest level of service and medical care from their first call in to our facility throughout their entire course
of treatment with us.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of general office practices and client communication experience
Ability to perform clerical work accurately and efficiently
Ability to multitask and answer a multi-phone line system as well as check patients in and out in a busy work environment
High school diploma
Individuals that value the commitment of team work, strong work ethic,
willingness to learn, and a positive/professional attitude
At least 2 years recent experience in client communications or customer service or hospitality
Primary Responsibilities/ Key Skill Area:
Hospitality and Customer Care
Telephone Communication- scheduling appointments, fielding general questions
Client Communications-faxing/e-mailing information to clients and veterinary personnel
Computer Knowledge and Scheduling Management
